Carolina Tiger Rescue, formerly the Carnivore Preservation Trust, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit wildlife sanctuary whose mission is saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild.

Oregon to end exotic pet permits in 2011

Oregon announces that the state will no longer issue permits to individuals that simply want to own an exotic pet- including any type of feline that is not a domestic cat. People that currently own exotic cats will be allowed to maintain their permit until that animal dies or until it is sold.

Current permits in Oregon for wildcats include servals, caracals, an ocelot, lynx, margay, and a Geoffrey cat.
