Carolina Tiger Rescue, formerly the Carnivore Preservation Trust, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit wildlife sanctuary whose mission is saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild.

Carolina Tiger Rescue is open to the public for guided tours, by reservation only.

Exotic African cat found as roadkill on Thruway near Weedsport exit

This serval, an exotic, medium-sized cat native to Africa, was found as roadkill recently on the state Thruway.



A serval was killed on a highway near the exit for Weedsport, NY. The serval may have escaped from private owner Glenn Donnelly, who is licensed to keep wild cats on his property.

The serval did have some form of identification, but the details have not been reported to media.
