ZSL London Zoo Study Shows That Zoos Improve Children's Awareness of Animals

A first-of-its-kind study reveals that zoos inspire awareness of animals and their habitats. Students age 9-11 were given presentations on desert and rain forest species, including jaguars, and then asked to draw pictures of the animals. The drawings showed marked improvement in understanding where the animals studied lived.
