Carolina Tiger Rescue, formerly the Carnivore Preservation Trust, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit wildlife sanctuary whose mission is saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild.

Carolina Tiger Rescue is open to the public for guided tours, by reservation only.

Tiger kills too-trusting carer

A Keeper at a wildcat center in China was killed while he cleaned a Siberian tiger's enclosure. The tiger bit the man in the neck and mauled him.

There are approximately 6000 tigers on "farms" in China. These farms began in the 1980s with the stated intention of breeding tigers to return to the wild but have been blamed for trading in tiger parts for medicine.
