Carolina Tiger Rescue, formerly the Carnivore Preservation Trust, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit wildlife sanctuary whose mission is saving and protecting wild cats in captivity and in the wild.

Carolina Tiger Rescue is open to the public for guided tours, by reservation only.

Tiger cub found among stuffed toys in Bangkok luggage





A Bangkok woman drugged a tiger cub and attempted to smuggle it out of the country in a bag full of of plush tigers. X-rays aroused suspicion in airport security and wildlife officers were called in. The cub is being cared for by the rescue center of the department of national parks.
