The largest zoo in Indonesia is under scrutiny for a culture of neglect and corruption that may result in the deaths of its many animals. A Sumatran tiger was found dead on Saturday and the other 13 Sumatran tigers remain in dirty, cramped cages. The zoo currently holds 4200 animals on 37 acres. The current zoo Director believes that the animals will all disappear in the next 5 years unless the management of the zoo is reorganized.
